DIY Wall Planters with Recycled Plastic Containers

Hello Everyone, as most of us are staying at home because of the Pandemic Convid 19. I am staring to do a lots of DIY crafts with things most likely already have and use.

Yesterday I created a beautiful wall planter using only materials I already had and easy to find and recycle.

First I started keeping my yogurt plastic containers that I buy each week.

To erase the letters and print from those containers you will need some pure acetone and a piece of cloth.

Once your containers are clear and clean I recommend doing a small hole on the bottom with a knife. This will help with water drainage for your plants.

I found a little iron rod from a construction site and I cleaned it and then I spray painted it in Silver color. You can use whatever color you have or like. Silver was the one i already had at home. You can also use a curtain rod if you want.

To hang the containers to the rod I used a little wire I already had here. You can use cleaner pipes and just remove the felt leaving just the wire.

Do another small hole from (what it will be the back of your container) Pass the wire through that hole and then close it with several twists. leave about 10 cms on the end so you can hang the container to the rod.

To hang the rod on the wall I used some ceiling hooks (you can buy the size of your own rod) just drill the holes on your wall and then place 2 or 3 hooks depending on the size of your rod (I only used 2) Once your rod is in place you can start filling your containers with plants.

The place I installed my wall planter is hard to get so I used only low water plants that are easy to maintain. That way I only go there once every week or maybe 2 and water those plants.

When you have all your plants ready go to your rod and using that 10 cms left of wire pass it through the rod and twist it so it wont fall.

happy Diy guys, hoping you like it as much as I did. Send me your pics of your lovely results.

Until next time

with much love
