Girly house full of boys

Living in a house full of boys sometimes I wonder if its O.K. to decorate my house with “girly” themes or decorations, like Valentines, Easter, or just place some pink flowers. Is there a tabu where this should not be, or why I feel so uncomfortable looking at Easter place mats because they are full of pastel colors, and over the 10 years I have been having boys, every year I struggle with the should I buy them? should I place a basket full of glittery eggs? I am doing something wrong teaching my sons to be used to seeing glittery girly stuff around the house? But then I think well why not? If one of them was a girl then I wouldn’t be thinking this things.

CRAFTS, FLOWERS AND PINK STUFF

As some of you know I am a graphic designer that used to paint, I love DIY proyects. I am super crafty and I am a girly girl,  so you can imagine me frustration when I can’t use my skills and likes with my boys.

GIRLY ACCENTS

After many years I have been little by little loosen a bit, incorporating more of my girly stuff in my house, I have jet to buy the valentines place mats full of hearts or the pastel ones for Easter, but I have bought that Easter basket with glittery eggs, and I did bought some little elements that I each year feel more comfortable with.

MOM OF BOYS

I know its a mind battle where you may say I am crazy but maybe there are other moms of boys that feel the same way. I don’t know what is the correct code or thing to do but I know what I like and I love seeing my house beautiful with this little feminine details all around.

So if you are like me in a house full of boys I encourage you to embrace your feminine side and  treat yourself with some girly stuff just FOR YOU!

EASTER WREATH DIY

I created a small video where I create a Easter wreath with only $4 dlls. 4 items bought from the Dollar Tree store.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Until the next time…

XOXO
