Hello Beautifuls,

We just came back from a wonderful week in Cancun and I wanted to write about a specific day which was Friday January 4th, 2019.

This day we had a Day Trip to XPLOR, which by the way was the BEST!

First they have many different pick up points through Cancun so you don’t have to think about the ride or renting a car so that’s a plus!

WHAT TO PACK?

I recommend bringing a set of dry clothes (maybe a sweater if you are like me and coming back in the bus you get cold) aqua socks (no flip flops as they will fall) swimming suit or any clothes you will get wet, A towel and you can bring a bottle of water for the return or buy one before you leave)

You ride a very clean big bus and on the way over they put you some movies about their parks (and by the way they all look awesome) they are on our plans for next trips.

You arrive to Xplor and walk through amazing scenery of caves and jungle and you will be prompted to the counter to check in. Ideally I do recommend arriving before they open which is 9 so you have ALL day! believe me you need and want to visit everything and maybe do it twice!

The special Helmet

Here in the counter they will give you your unique hemlet with a number and some sensors for all the pics they take throughout the park (that way you don’t have to bring your camera, cellphone, or anything like that) and they also give you a key for the lockers so you can safely put away everything you bring.

First I recommend doing the Zip Lines, they have 2 routs JAGUAR AND DEER, Jaguar will have the highest zip-lines and Deer will have the medium ones and a water slide!,

I recommend doing both we did Jaguar first so you make the line to get all geared up and then you can decide which route to do. Both lines will have 7 zip-lines and you do one after the other ending in a Landing in water.

Before you get in line go to the Snack center. Order one of their delicious drinks (I had the avocado one and it was amazing). You can get a couple of oatmeal cookies to go, then head to the restroom and then get in line. (overall this will take like 2 hours with no restrooms, water or snacks).

Zip Lines

The zip-lines are FANTASTIC! Anywhere from a 5 year old to an adult person will enjoy them and I am very scared of roller coasters and things like that and this ones are not scary at all! Its an amazing feeling!

All about the food

After the zip lines, either you go to have lunch or another snack, we did the lunch and they have a huge buffet and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Benjamin and I had a burger, Lorenzo had a hot dog and spaghetti, Emiliano and Cristobal had bbq with fetuccini, don’t forget to try their desserts.

Now if you want to rest for a bit I encourage you to lay on a hammock in this spectacular paradise with white sand and clear water and maybe let the kids splash on the water or play on the kids playground.

Rafts and more

Next up we did the rafts. This activity we could do it with Lorenzo. You get inside the caves along with stalactites and stalagmites and you paddle yourself through an underground rivers. Super fun and beautiful scenery!

After, you can go ro the underground rivers and swim for a little bit (the water is cold!!) you get used to it after a while.

Amphibious

Then head over the Amphibious this is a car ride where you need to drive. You get on all terrain paths, hanging bridges, water and caves.

There are some other attractions but unfortunately we ran out of time (bringing a small kid can make you slower) . Make sure you visit the hammock splash for us. What a fun day we had! Beside Xplor, Xcaret Group offers many other World Class parks like Xcaret, Xenses, xichen, Xel ha, Xochimilco, Xavage. They are all wonderful in its own way so if you can visit one, two or more! you wont regret it.
